How to Integrate with Facebook Shops

June 05, 2020

Soon, we will all be buying products directly from a business’ Facebook Page or Instagram profile.
Covid-19 changed our shopping habits. We will be doing more shopping online, and Facebook realized that. Facebook announced that Starting May 19th, a small number of businesses that use Page Shops on Facebook will be transitioned to Facebook Shops.
Facebook is partnering with Shopify, BigCommerce, and more. These third-party platforms will still be used to manage the Facebook Shops as Shopify mentioned, “Facebook Shops allows Shopify merchants to get control over customization and merchandising for their storefronts inside Facebook and Instagram, while managing their products, inventory, orders, and fulfillment directly from within Shopify”.
Orders will be placed on Facebook shops, then exported to csv files or Excel spreadsheets. In order to plan the best route for delivering these orders, you simply need to import this orders file to MyRouteOnline Route Planner.
If Facebook will support automation of this process, orders can be loaded to our API and then the route plan will be automatically created and downloaded in the best sequence for deliveries. The planned route includes estimated time of arrival so you can inform your customers when to expect their delivery to arrive.
Once you have your delivery route planned, you can email the route to your driver to navigate with Waze, Google Maps, etc.
